On 25th May 2018 the data protection (privacy Policy) laws changed.

You need to know how the Garden Lodge Bunny Retreat will use and store your personal information. 

Your personal information (data) is the information that you give to us on your enquiry form and Veterinary form.


YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS:

  • Your Name
  • Your Address
  • Your Telephone Number
  • Your Email Address


HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION

We use this information to fulfil your booking, send you an invoice and to arrange drop-off & collection appointments in our diary. We also us this information to make sure we can meet the needs of your pet and that they meet our boarding rules. 


WHAT WILL CHANGE FROM 25TH MAY 2018

If you email us or fill in our online forms your personal information will be stored safely. We will only use this information to arrange your pets boarding. Your Veterinary form is stored in a separate email address so we can forward this to the vets who will be treating your pet - so they know their medical history and how to contact your to discuss their care plan..

We will not give your personal details to anyone outside of our business, unless we need veterinary help for your pet or we are asked to by law. Unfortunately we can't go ahead with a booking without this information.


Any personal information about you is on our Veterinary  form and will be kept digitally and only destroyed if you don't board your rabbit with us for 3 years or or more or if you ask us to destroy it.


Emails will be deleted after 24 months. Emails to cancel your booking with us, due to Covid-19, need to be kept for 5 years to back-up the Government grant application (with the exception of Covid cancellations as required by HMRC).


SOME EMAILS OR PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE KEPT FOR LONGER IF:

  • Your pet needed to see a vet during their stay.
  • There was a problem with boarding such as; we couldn't board your pet, non-payment of boarding or vets fees or if you do not collect your pet.
  • We need it for our accounts. Inland Revenue say that we need to keep records of accounts for 6 years from the last financial year.


HOW TO ASK US TO DELETE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can send an email to us at gardenlodgebunnyretreat@gmail.com

We will delete your personal information within 30 days.
